The smell of old books...

My mom has been cleaning out my Gramma's old house, since she moved, and getting it ready to rent. She let me have several boxes of books--most of which were old paperback novels and cookbooks. There were a few treasures, though, and here are some of my favorites.

They all have little notes written inside, most of them from my great grandparents to each other. I think it's so charming to have a book with a personalized message inside, but I don't think it's very common anymore. And nothing beats the smell of old books.
