The few weeks leading up to Andrew's first birthday were a bit crazy, to say the least. A closing, a move, adjusting to life in an apartment, two sick boys and a sick Momma, and move made things a bit harried around here.
In spite of it all, we celebrated our little lion's first in style and with much fanfare.
But there's been something missing. Something I've wanted to put together for over two months now, but just haven't had the room to breathe, much less spend on something like this. It's Andrew's Year One video - though at this point, it'll be 12 + 1 (month). (Do I have permission to add a month with every subsequent child?)
He is no less loved. Or adored. Or celebrated.
He is our joy. Our sunshine.
Our Andrew.
This past weekend, as he was ripping and roaring through our apartment, tearing books off the shelves just for the sport of it and dragging toys from one room to the next, I had the thought that he was/is the perfect cross between Bam Bam (from the Flintstones) and the Tazmanian Devil, with a whole lot of charm and sunshine thrown in the mix.
He such an amazing child, bold and bashful in the same stroke.
And though there is no way to capture him in a few minutes, I've done my best to highlight this first, most precious, most amazing year of his life.
We love, love you so, sweet, wild, wonderful, marvel-of-a-child Andrew.
