Delayed by Delivery

Wow, it's been a while since I've blogged! But I have a perfectly wonderful excuse. My only daughter, who up until a couple of weeks ago looked like this, delivered a beautiful baby girl. I was thrilled to spend time many hours of "girl time" with the two of them (thanks to my sharing son-in-law). It was so hard to leave this gorgeous bundle of happiness. But my boys were at home and apparently I'm the only one who knows how to buy fruits and vegetables. They would still be eating hotdogs and bacon if I didn't return.
Now that I'm home and there are healthy snacks to be had, I'll be back to blogging and sharing some of the photos I took of our girl time.

Purse Lovin'

Last night I fell in love with this Alexander Wang purse on Shopbop...

It's so me. And with about 6 months left until my birthday, there's plenty of time for someone out there to save up for my present :)

Reminds me of THIS gorgeous leather strapped Casamidy chair!

Alright Already!

I've taken up running, which I am not particularly good at, (run for fifteen seconds, walk for fifteen minutes...) but I seem to have found my magic bullet. When I'm running around town I feel like everyone's looking at me. Which I hate, 'cause I'm a bit chubby. So I've started driving a few blocks north to Oakwood Cemetery, which is as massive as it is old as it is wooded as it is full of wildlife and beautiful views. It's always quiet there (as the dead? Hah.) And though you'll sometimes pass one other jogger or someone driving through (especially on Sundays) nine times out of ten you're totally alone. And that's what I need. Alone with Pandora on my phone and my headphones in my ears and my Vibrams on my feet. In the early mornings it's still cool, and there's thick, cold dew in the grass and having chill feet cools the rest of you down fast...

It's a good way to be.

I've got to catch up on this blog, and I have a lot coming your way, some new crafts for Craft 365, (not all of them tutorials, since I've been a bit lax on that, but I'll try and give good descriptions where I can.) I have some recipes too, and some photo adventures, so stay tuned!

Summer Fair (Clarendon Park Road)...

Yesterday we visited a summer fair held on one of our local shopping streets. The sky was heavy with grey cloud but the day was warm with pockets of sunlight found here and there as we walked by the craft stalls and fairground rides. Little D experienced his first time on the teacups and big wheel! He spent most of the time absorbing everything that was going on - looking unsure but comfortable - and cried when he had to come off. I really enjoy all of his 'firsts' and want to treasure them and reminisce in future years insha'Allah. I always try to take a few photos and videos but its sometimes hard to enjoy the moment when your trying to capture it with a camera. Sometimes its much better to put all your energy and focus on what's happening right there in front of your eyes and keep the memory in your mind instead.

Today i took him to the country park and wild flower meadow again, we found the tiniest caterpillar, a butterfly who loved thistles, masses of ox-eye daisies, and had fun in the sand pit. Il be here to share my photos tomorrow insha'Allah, x
