What is Sterling Junction?

Back in the day when there was significant train service to Sterling, Massachusetts, the town had its own railroad depot located in the southern part of town along Route 12. This is where the epicenter of Sterling Junction was located. The place name extended across the area of town nearest the town and extending toward the Campground settlement.
