I'M IN THE CLOUDS / A FELHŐKBEN ÉRZEM MAGAM

Illetve csak érezném, ha lenne egy ilyen játszóházam...
I wanted to say, I could be in the clouds if I had such a playhouse...

CHORES are such a CHORE {Organization}

My kids last day of school is today!!  We have not been having them do chores lately for a variety of reasons.   Mostly because I get so sick of the fighting about doing them!  But, now that summer is here I know there is NO way I can keep up with their messes.  They are going to HAVE to help out around the house.

So, I saw this idea to use mini mailboxes for a chore system.  I will find the link and post it for you when I post the completed project.  I am waiting on the mailboxes I ordered to arrive.  But, I am excited because I created these cute little postcards in Word.  Each postcard has a chore on it and on the “stamp” is the value they will get paid for completing that chore.  I will “mail” my kids their postcards each night after they are in bed, and when they complete their chores the next day they will “mail” them back to me.  I will then “mail” them an envelope with their money in it.

I am excited because I think they will think this is very fun and hopefully it will keep them motivated to comply with my wishesSmile Here are the postcards.  I have like 70 of them, including a few blank ones.  I am going to have them laminated, and then if there is a special job to be done I will use a wet erase marker to add it to one of the blank ones.  For the address part I put different names, like #1 son (I have all boys), awesome kid, sweetheart, etc.

Happy Birthday My Brady Boy!

Tomorrow (January 12th) my baby turns 2 years old! It's not that big of a shock to me that he's actually two years old though... He's acted like a two year old for several months now. Unfortunately for me he never really wanted to be a baby. :( He's always been doing things pretty advanced for his age. When he was just a few months old he started refusing a pacifier. He started sitting up at 5

36 Weeks! (And I'm Freaking Out!)

Why am I freaking out? Well, it's probably because I have so little time and still so much to do before Baby Josiah arrives! It could be that I've never waited this long before getting everything prepared. It might also be that I've never had 2 kids, a husband and 2 dogs to take care of as well as my own household to run.

This is definitely new territory to me.

It might seem strange to those of

Has It Been a Year Already?

With our one year anniversary fast approaching (October 16th) I've been thinking a lot about how much my life has changed... Not just this past year, but the past several. I've got to say, this has certainly been one of the best! I'm happy and most importantly my kids are happy.

I cannot express in words how much I appreciate my husband and our new life together. I am so thankful for everything

Forget What You Think You Know - Oh the Possibilities!

When you find out that you're going to have your first baby you do like most women do and get prepared.... by reading books, magazines, internet articles. By taking parenting classes. By talking to your mom or your friends who have already had kids....

Then your baby arrives.

Everything you read about, talked about and learned about goes out the window. It becomes a learn as you go type of

A weekend away....

Me Hubby and girls have just come back from a great weekend away with our dear friends Hayley and Fran and their 2 kids.
We went to a cottage in Llansantffrand, Powys, which is in Wales. (Dont worry, I cant pronounce it either!)

It was a lovely place, built in 1865!

The welsh countryside is so beautiful and we had fantastic views.

We took Tilly of course and our friends have just got a Japanese Akita puppy (8 weeks old!) who came too. They decided to bond over a few beers!!!

Tilly is far too ladylike to drink beer though, I think Buster thinks she's a snob, look at the face he's pulling! (typical male!!!)

She much prefers an old sock!!

"The road is long...."

Whilst we we in the cottage we were reading the previous guests comments, some of them said they thought it was haunted!

Yeah right we all said!

Hubby and I slept in the downstairs bedroom, when we opened the curtains the next morning this is what we found on the INSIDE of the window......

Everyone has said they did'nt do it........but who did?!

Hugs Michelle xxx
