{my dream home would have to have: the danielle oakey edition}

I'm excited to have Danielle of the fabulous blog Danielle Oakey Interiors visiting today!! Her blog is a daily must-read for me, hop over to check it out, and while you're there be sure to take a tour of her gorgeous home! Here's Danielle's pick for her dream home must-have:

Hi, I am Danielle from Danielle Oakey Interiors. I was thrilled when Nancy asked me to participate in this series. Since I live 2 bedroom condo, everything seems like a dream!

Lately I have been dreaming big. I would love to have a large and stylish design studio.

This office from Lonny speaks to me. I love the bright white walls and ceiling, the graphic drapery, and the large work space. Those chandeliers aren't so bad either!

Ultimately, I would love the design studio to be just behind my home. A small traditional cape would be perfect.

Now wouldn't that be amazing? I will keep on dreaming...

Danielle, your dream is dangerous ... now you've got me thinking of all the fabulous possibilities! I love it!! A huge thank you for sharing this lovely must-have with all of us!

{my dream home would have to have: the hodge:podge edition}

Today I am excited to have my dear friend Barbara of the fab blog Hodge:Podge to share her dream home must have with us. Barbara hosts a wonderful series called 'So Canadian, eh?' where she interviews talented Candian designers and bloggers, take a peek at her latest installment with Christiane Lemieux of DwellStudio! So, without further ado ...

Thanks so much Nancy for letting me share with your readers what I pine  dream about!

My dream home would have to have ...  A gorgeous unfitted kitchen, with lots of black!

My all time favourite space and dream kitchen is the one designed by my favourite Canadian designer, Tommy Smythe {known as the witty co-host alongside Sarah Richardson}. I love everything in that kitchen from the herringbone patterned floors, black window frames, amazing carriage light, rustic farmhouse style table, marble backsplash to the Shaker style cabinetry with black on the bottom and white on the uppers.

In the meantime while I dream ... I live with honey oak cabinets stuck in the 90’s. Ugh.

Barbara, you are a girl after my own heart! This kitchen is already sitting in my inspiration files, I just adore it! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this stunning space, I'd bet all my money that everyone out there fully agrees with you!!

{my dream home would have to have: the arianna belle edition}

Another wonderful installement of 'My Dream Home' today! This edition comes to us from the lovely Arianna of one of my favorite blogs, Arianna Belle. If you have not visited her gorgeous blog, you have truly been missing out, it's one of my daily must-reads! So without further ado...

Thank you Nancy for inviting me to participate -I'm thrilled to be here! This was such fun to compile :) My dream home would definitely have to have a white kitchen. I'm thinking white cabinets (with glass fronts for the upper cabinets), carrera marble countertops, teal glass tiles for the backsplash, ceiling pendant light fixtures, a large island, a little breakfast nook, and big windows for lots of natural light. These photos illustrate several of the features I'm dreaming of:
