How I Clean
About 4 years ago I completely changed how I clean my house. After my son was born I wanted all of the toxic cleaners out of my house. So I started trying out every "non-toxic" cleaning product out there. I even tried out homemade concoctions. FINALLY, about a year ago I stumbled on Shaklee's non-toxic cleaners and haven't looked back. Why? Because THEY WORK and SAVE me money.
When people think of "Green" cleaners they usually think they are ineffective and expensive. But with the Get Clean products that I found, nothing is further from the truth. I don't have time to fool around with cleaning products that don't work. My boys are messy, my house is messy, and my husband and I are busy.
So lets get started.
Kitchen
Let’s begin with with the kitchen because this is where I spend most of my time. I feel like I am in there all day! As soon as I am done cleaning up a meal, it’s snack time. Is this just me?
I need to run my dishwasher at-lesat once everyday and I always try to wipe the stainless steal appliances down every night. I love waking up and coming down to a clean room. I am in a better mood when there are no dishes out, the stove is clean and their are no fingerprints on the fridge. I also like to sweep the floor everyday (several times a day under their high chairs).
In the kitchen I use…..
Basic H2 Organic Super Clean Concentrate and my Super microfiber cleaning cloth for the appliances, cabinets, counters and walls.
Scour Off Heavy Duty Paste for my sink and to deep clean the appliances.

Basic G- Concentrated Germicide for disinfecting my sink, counters, knobs, floor and whatever else I want germ FREE!
Dish Wash Concentrate for washing pots, pans or anything else by hand. I only use 1 drop per dish. I don't know why but when I switched to this dish soap it made my sink cleaner, who doesn't love that!
Dish Wash Automatic Concentrate for my dishwasher. I only use 1 teaspoon of this stuff and I NEVER pre-rinse my dishes. CHEAP! A few weeks ago I ran out of dish detergent and had to pick up some Cascade. My husband didn't know I had changed. All week he is telling me to call the repair man there is something wrong with the dishwasher and our dishes aren't getting clean. I just giggled to myself and as soon as I switched back (I didn't tell him, of course) the complaining stopped. Love it! Note to self don't forget the Autoship!

I use Basic H2 Organic Super Clean Concentrate for the windows and mirrors
This stuff works…..with NO streaks!
I mix 2 drops of the concentrate to my 16oz. water spray bottle. (It costs $.01 per 16oz. That’s right, it costs 1 PENNY for a 16oz. bottle) CHEAP! I wasn't kidding. 1 bottle of Basic H2 equals the cleaning uses of 5,824 bottles of 26 oz. Windex. WOW!

Scour Off Heavy Duty Paste for the bath, shower, floor and sink when needed.
It takes off rust, mold, hard water residue and other build up. It smells like Cherries and is totally safe.
Floors
I try to sweep everyday. I don’t know if it is just my family but we REALLY need to do this everyday! Especially under the kids chairs. It can get out of hand quickly!
For washing my floors, I use...
Basic H2 Organic Super Clean Concentrate
This awesome no rinse, no residue, streak-free formula works great on any floor! It seriously makes my wood shine. For floors, mix 1 tablespoon of Basic H + 1 gallon of water. Apply to floor with sponge or mop. I just put it in a spray bottle, spray it on the floor and wipe it with a microfiber mop.

Dusting
Usually I dampen my super micro fabric cleaning cloth with my Basic H. I use this on everything, fans, vents, light fixtures, stair railing, walls and ceilings. You name it.
Laundry
Laundry for five is not an easy thing to do. I have a system that works for now, its called delegating to my husband, no joke! Until I can get the kids to do their own, which will be a few more years. Right now all of our laundry goes down the shoot. Everyday when the hubby gets home from work he throws a load in. I am so thankful that he is the laundry man around here, it's one less thing to worry about.
And even with my hubby doing the laundry, everything STILL manages to come out clean and fresh. All of my laundry products are concentrated and NON-Toxic. It is even safe for sensitive baby skin.

I also have all of my products set up on Auto-ship so I never run out. It is great and I can adjust or cancel my order at anytime. From the computer. So easy.
