Allo My Darling Bubblies! ^^v
Did I ever tell you we have a rice field in front of our house? ^^
Well, we do! \^^/
I woke up to such loud noise this morning and was wondering
what on earth was going on...
Well, apparently it`s rice planting day! \^^/
It`s a local elementary school project in our part of town...
they teach kids how to grow rice and take care of the field. ^^
There`s a farmer who checks the field all year round but
school kids tend to the important bits like planting and picking of the rice. ^^d
It`s such a great idea. I totally love it! ^^<3
It`s also why I love living in this part of Tokyo..there`s a lot more nature compared
to all the concrete nightmares in many other areas. They try to be as eco as possible
and very family oriented.. and it shows in such projects as this rice field. ^^d
We have lots of parks and boulevards everywhere ~like the one in front of our building
with benches to enjoy the garden while having a picnic for example^^
(they`ve written down all the names of the trees
and plants too so kids can learn about different flowers, etc ^^).
There`s a pool for children to cool down in the hot summer months
as well as a shower and fountains...even a couple of fish ponds
and a small river than goes underneath the park road. ^^ It`s so pretty. ^^<3
Sometimes life in Tokyo can get me very down ~__~;;
with it`s hectic, uncaring hustle and bustle but then I`m reminded of such
wonderful traditions, nature and beauty within all the modern life crazyness..
and I`m back to a happy zen mode. ^^v
Tokyo Mon Amour ^^<3
Have a great weekend everybody! O(^.^)O
Mucho huggles,
Mamma Moon =^^=
