One of our favourite things to do once the weather warms up, is to spend the day outdoors and have a picnic lunch/dinner.When my children were little, on very hot days, I would often pack a picnic dinner, pick them up from school, and we would head off to the park. We have a favourite big old tree that we would lay our blanket out under, and sit with sandwiches and cold drinks.
We'd read books and toss a Frisbee ... lots of fun.

Ev'ry bear who's been good
is sure of a treat today.
There's lots of marvelous things to eat
and wonderful games to play.
Beneath the trees
where nobody sees
they'll hide and seek
as long as they please.
